Name Change Project
Tranzmission's Name Change Project guides participants through an eight step process of legally changing their names in Buncombe County. Understanding the anxiety surrounding this process, Tranzmission walks with you every step of the way, including holding meetings periodically and offering one-on-one support to assist with this process.

Tranzmission offers various online/offline social support groups, including groups specifically serving people who identify as transfeminine, as well as transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) youths and families. Youth OUTright WNC, Inc. (YO) is the only youth advocacy and leadership non-profit organization in the region solely dedicated to empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual and allied (LGBTQIA+) youth ages 11-20 in Western North Carolina. YO engages and supports LGBTQIA+ youth ages 11-20 to be confident, resilient and compassionate community members. YO envisions a world where youth of all gender and sexual identities are empowered to reach their full potential. YO provides information, support and resources in a safer, inclusive and affirming environment.

Virtual Pride Center
Blue Ridge Pride promotes equality, safety, and quality of life for Western North Carolina’s LGBTQ+ and allied communities, working as a united community through advocacy, celebration, education and service.
